Machina Obscura: Sculpting Ghost Signals and Circuitry
There is a moment in sound design when control slips away, and the hardware begins to generate its own voice.
On November 11, 2026, I am releasing the next single from PostOmnis album Mysticism: Machina Obscura.

Thar artwork features marble hands caught in mid-gesture in a shower of sparks. An aesthetic metaphor for the central thesis of this single. It reflects the friction between human vulnerabiliity and calculating, cold technology. Classical forms breaking down under the heat of electrical surge.
The Sound World: Analog Tension & Decay
For Machina Obscura, the onjective was strightforward: strip away predictability and lean into visceral, atmospheric weight.
Much of the groundwork was laid during live Eurorack experiments and community Twitch sessions, working through generative patch layouts, tape saturation, and extreme frequency isolation. Rather than relying solely on clean digital synthesis, I routed primary voices through distortion circuits and resonant filters at the point of collapse. The result is a sound bed that sits right at the edge of comfort. Inviting, but always charged with an undercurrent of survival horror tension.

Track Experience & Availability
Machina Obscura is engineered as an intentional journey. While individual pieces carry distinct rhythmic and tonal pulses, this single is tied together by recurring atmospheric leitmotifs and micro-textures designed specifically for deep headphone listening.
The record lands on all major platforms - Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, and Youtube Music - on November 11, 2026.
To everyone in the stream community, the readers of these Field Notes, and listeners who have followed the PostOmnis journey over the years: thank you for tuning in. Pre-save links and exclusive merch are now live right here on the site.
See you on the other side of the patch cables.
